Friend's daughter on Stargate tonight
2006-01-06, 11:46 AM #1
A photo of my friend's daughter will be on Stargate SG-1 tonight here in the US (I'm told that the episode already aired in the UK).

Anyway, it should be a tiny b/w photo of an 11-year-old girl with an oxygen mask on her face. Her mom took her photo while she was in the hospital for blood clots, put it on the internet, and the Stargate people contacted them wanting it for the show.

They were originally told it would be in the episode titled, "The Fourth Horseman", so we had a big party back in August or something, watched Stargate, and never saw her picture. They contacted the studio, and the studio said her picture is in "The Fourth Horseman Part 2", which airs tonight.

We figure it will be onscreen for a whole 1/10th of a second... or less...

cool. Are they paying her for it?
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.

Heh, the studio bought the picture for $1. But they are paying her $50 anyway.

I've been meaning to get on Massassi to ask this: I watched up until season 8.

Now...

TEAL'C: No hair or hair? (I'm pretty sure this has been asked before.)

[edit:] TiVo is automatically recording this, and yes it's Season 9 (I had to look at the episode guide a few times on Wikipedia for the disk I have).

Season 1-7 had no hair, except for a tiny speck of facial hair he had for a season or two.
Season 8 he had very short hair
This season, he looks like he's wearing a wig made of greased feathers.

Anyways, I also went to school, visited my girlfriend once or twice, and played WoW in the last 2-3 months.

Thats cool, tonight's episode rocked.

Mitchell: "Do you feel anything"
Daniel: "No... I'm a bit thirsty...."
Mitchell: "That doesn't count"
Daniel: "Right"

GBK, you have better eyes than I do. I didn't see that! I'll pass that screen grab along to the family. We all thought it wasn't in there because we didn't see it.

As far as Stargate SG-1, tonight was the best episode of the season so far. They got rid of Garrick, who I didn't think was very good anyway. They toasted the Prior from the X-Files, who I liked alot, but didn't seem to fit in well. They reinstated the full opening theme music, and lastly, General Hammond gets screen time (which is always a plus - he rocks)!

How much longer is this creepy drugged out Ford going to last? It's becoming...upsetting. Either make him rejoin or shoot the *******. Don't make him "last minute" enemy of the week.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I am SO happy they put in that scene with Hammond, it's not something you expected, but after seeing it, you realized how much you wanted it.

Hammond is such a strong character, with a great sounding voice, and the dude that plays him nails the part of a military general.

The only thing that would make it better is if RDA would come back...

I didn't finish watching Atlantis last night (I was taping it elsewhere - and I'll likely finish it today or tomorrow), but I was thinking the same thing. Getting kinda tired of wraithford.
