Can you guys tell what each one does? I only use fasterfox, and I've always wanted to get some more, but don't have the patience to read through all of them on the site. What ones do you use and why?

IE View <-- Adds an option to view a page in IE in the right-click menu. Use it when pages aren't compatible with Firefox.

Single Window <-- When you click on a link, it opens in a new tab instead of a new window

Bugmenot <-- Loads usernames/passwords in "Log in" forms until you get passed

Forecastfox - weather
Adblock
Adblock Filterset.G Updater - keeps a list of blocked stuff, so I don't have to do it by hand
Linkification - makes text addresses into actual links
Windows Update - puts it in the menu
PDF Download - open in tabs or d/l
IE View - open IE to view a page
Customize Google
Disable Target for Downloads - supposed to prevent opening blank pages for d/ls, doesn't work too well, but there was just an update
Mouse Gestures
Firesomething - really pointless :p
Stop-or-Reload Button - combines them into one; Stop when loading, Reload when done
IE Tab - open a page in IE in a tab
Restart Firefox - adds 'Restart' to the menu for refreshing themes/extensions, etc
Nuke Anything Enhanced

Weeelll...

Something Awful Last Read - developed by goon biznatchio. It highlights threads clicked, gives icons to go down to first newest post. For more info see the SA thread about it. Yes it's got language n' crap for it is SA. And I think you non-goons can see it b/c it's in GBS. SA members should get this. It rocks.

Forecast Fox - Mentioned before, displays forecasts in toolbar.

Fasterfox - Speeds up firefox. Turbo settings not recommended. It puts excess loads on servers.

Gmail notifier - Do I really have to explain this? :p

DNSStuff toolbar - Puts a VERY nifty tool bar that basically encompasses all of DNSStuff.com's features. Useful for us admin folk.

Talkback - Reports Firefox errors.

Konqueror 3.5 is pretty much perfect. More stable than Firefox and better rendering than IE.

Perfect except it requires KDE, which automatically makes it lose.

Bloat is suck.

You know what? As cool as you think IceWM, FWVM, Fluxbox, twm or whatever the hell you use is, KDE is actually out there building a framework and developing user interface standards. Even if you don't value the kicker, other user interface components, desktop, file browser, KOffice, Konqueror, KDevelop, K3b, amaroK, or Kaffeine, the KDE project develops so many interfaces and components that their value cannot even be estimated.

As far as the interface itself goes... yeah. It's real bloated. I'm sure your FX-55 will struggle and die trying to run it. Boo hoo.

No, but my 750Mhz laptop does. It's seriously the difference between watching fullscreen divx or not. That's how bloated it is.

K3B works fine under Fluxbox, Openoffice 2 > KOffice, I don't ever use KDevelop, XMMS > amaroK, etc.

So how many different extensions are there to view IE pages in Firefox, and which one is the best?

Technically, only one, as you stated.

IE Tab opens a page in a new tab, that runs under IE's rendering engine. It's damn slick.

IE View, the only other IE extension, actually opens up an entirely new Internet Explorer window and opens the URL.

Methinks I shall have to try this out. I hate having to open up IE...
