So...
2006-01-08, 3:29 PM #2
I was fairly unimpressed with Serenity. I mean, it was okay, but I didn't think it was anything amazing.

On the other hand, EpIII wasn't that great either, but overall I liked it better than Serenity.

Anyone who says Episode III is better than Serenity falls under one of these conditions:

A. Didn't watch Serenity
B. Was unconcious while watching Serenity
C. Was watching Serenity in chinese from a bootleg vid-capped DVD
D. Hates life
E. Doesn't have the mental capacity to watch such an awesome movie.

That is all.

I said EP3. Reason: Serenity was good I will grant you that. Buuut I was lost first quarter or so.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Serenity was great, but it just doesn't have that feeling that Star Wars has.

Plus, Star Wars Soundtrack > Serenity Soundtrack.

apart from the jedi, the aliens and the space battles, i always thought that the firefly universe felt more like the OT universe than the PT one did.

Serenity.

Sorry, but Episode III sucked. Lots of flash, little substance. Just like Episode I and II.

Why is it that whenever phoenix posts his opinion, it seems like you ALWAYS get mad at him?

Seriously Yoshi..mellow the hell out. My post count would be much higher if I criticised poeple for having an opinion as much as you do.

Talk to him for a while outside of massassi and you'll soon see why. Most of the people I criticize as you say I've talked to extensively outside of the site. Maybe you should not comment on items you don't know anything about?

I think you guys have your outlook on caring horribly skewed. I just post what I think when I think it--has nothing to do with how much I care about it.

No offense but people like that piss me off. Learn to control your tongue and have some self discipline because shooting off your mouth just because you feel like it isn't the type of person I would want to socialize with.

Fine with me. That's your opinion. See? Besides that, this isn't public...everyone here knows each other rather well by now. We don't have a humongous influx of new members, and the few new ones that do come become acquainted with everyone easily. I'd say it's a loose, disjointed foster family more than anything else. I mean honestly, compared to most message boards I go to this place is insanely friendly and familiar. There's personality to the board, and to the people and the interactions therein.

I don't go out and just say whatever I think. In fact, I mostly keep to myself. I know I've said some things in the past you think may contradict this statement, but if you got to know me better you'd realize what I mean.

Either way, people like you are the people that piss me off. Just because I have an opinion and I've got the balls to be vocal about it doesn't mean I don't have discipline. I just don't like being some sheep who always gets run over--I'm sick of it and I like expressing myself. You're definitely not the kind of person I'd ever socialize with.

No offense.

He does talk to me. More freqently than you. And we have far more lengthy discussions.

And where the hell in my post did I state that as solid fact? You DO realize opinions can be stated in such a fashion, yes?

Well not only does he have patience and tolerance far beyond mine, but he also doesn't mind indulging in the rantings of fanboys.

I knew it was your opinion, I was just making a quip about the way you stated it. Saying "You know, I think it sucked hardcore" is a lot less conducive to argumentation than "It sucked." Granted, there's the assumption that your post contains only your opinions, but some movies DO suck. Johnny Mnemonic had horrible acting, horrible special effects, and a horrible plotline. That's not only my opinion, but the opinion of the general masses, making it maybe not complete solid 100% fact, but damn near.

all i'm getting at is... its the internet! why even form an opinion on someone because you talk to them away from massassi? i dont even consider people on the internet to be real people...

Well spe, I've been in some bad situations, and one of them I came here because I didn't have any choice. I came here because I was scared as hell, and honestly expected derisive posts from most of the members but, surprisingly, I had 3 or 4 people invite me into their homes. Trust me, I still remember those people and I also remember it's the only thing that kept me sane. When you have nowhere to go and you end up on a message board on the internet, some place you'd expect to be impersonal and wholly uncaring, and have people invite you into their homes because of it, you start to realize they ARE real people, and that this place is more of a community, a family, than a group of people.

Please. I'm HARDLY that bad to get along with. The sheer number of friends I have PROVES that. And don't even start critizing them. They're all quite varied in tastes.

And I'm a fanboy just because I happen to like Halo and prefer Xbox over PC now? Wow. That makes alot of sense. Go you. The liking of those two items REALLY makes one a fanboy.
