1) Tomshardware sucks.
2) Oil-based cooling has been around for a while, and is still mainly a farce. There are some industrial solutions that are similar floating around, but...yeah...if I really need that kind of quiet I'll do water-cooling.

They suck. Seriously, they're a joke to everyone who knows anything about the computer hardware business. Even bbspot thinks they're worthless, and while they're definitely not the single most respected tech website...they're up there.

I wouldn't trust their take on this project with a ten-foot pole. This is the same company that said the 9600 and 5500 were comparable.

Also: It IS fact that Toms Hardware ruined their reputation by fudging benchmarks, and generally lying. They touted the 5x00 line as actually...plausibly decent. If I wanted to read **** by someone who lied to me, I'd go to the Onion for my news.

Also, this isn't even the first time this idea's been brought up, nor is it the first time it's even been DONE. I remember seeing it a few months ago on engadget, and a couple YEARS ago on HardOCP.
