Well I went into work at Denny's yesterday and got a call from the district manager. He said the Denny's at Summerbay Resorts (Kississimee on 1-92, where the robbery was) needed help because Disney closed it's gates, 1-92 was closed a mile up the road (tanks, police cars, FBI, ect), and people were storming in to get something to eat. So me and a couple other employees were dropped off and started work.
It was a madhouse.
People crowding in, plates smashing, children screaming, it was horrible. Faulty computer systems and software upgrades made us loose all our sales data, and that got the manager angry. Not to mention three of the servers JUST got our of training. The only good things were being paid time and a half ($10.50 an hour) and mainly dealing with English tourists, who don't really care about the service or the food, and are pretty much nice people.
Our district manager came to pick us up at 10:30 instead of 9:00 like he said. I got home late and was dead tired of a long day on your feet. I got to bed at almost midnight, extremely late considering I get up before dawn to get to school.
Well that was my night, and I garuntee I'll think twice before being tricked by my managers.

The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.
