Yippee! I got one of the leads in my school musical!

I'm so excited! :D

My audition went very well, and along with three other leads, we will be heading up my school's new musical! I say "new", because my school is literally making it line by line and song by song. I don't think I'm currently at liberty to say what it is about, but we'll see.

Anyway, I'm just really happy, because up until a couple of weeks ago my voice was complete crap. Now, with the diaphragmatic breathing down (thanks in part to Sugarless and others on a former thread!) everything seems to be falling into place! I'm improving at a vey fast rate, and I'm thrilled, because I want to pursue acting in college and beyond.

Well, sorry, to be so ecstatic, just thought I'd share my joy! ;)

Congratulations! We just had the first of three rounds of auditions at my school last night, and I think I have a (small) chance at getting one of the major parts. We're doing The Wiz, which is a gospel/R&B version of The Wizard of Oz. And no, we're not dyeing our skin and hair black - you wouldn't believe the number of times various people have asked that question in the last two weeks.

Well, I'll tell you this - the musical is based on a book of the Bible. I'm not telling you which book, but I may drop some more hints. If you really want to know, just PM me, I ask only that you don't spread it around. ;)

I was going to make that guess.

Job was awesome. His wife told him to curse God and go to hell, and the guy didn't. HIS WIFE.

Job > You

Man, my school is doing the Roger and Hammerstein version of Cinderella. There was no way I was doing that. Everyone was all surprised that I didn't try out after I broke into the theater community at my school this year. I'm not being no prince.
