I've been watching the Indy movies here lately... It's started to dawn on me that Temple of Doom is not nearly as good as the other two.

Personally, I would say Crusade, Raiders, Doom in order of quality.

What do you guys think?

I'd think that would be the general ranking for most people.

I agree. Temple of Doom is fun, but I really like the other two a lot better.

Same here. I liked crusade, raiders, and then doom. My favorite line from crusade would have to be this:

"No ticket."

Raiders definitely comes before Crusades for me... not really sure why. Temple of Doom is defintiely last, but it's a good movie.

The woman in Temple of Doom was hella annoying, dont you think?

If she's good enough for Indiana Jones she's damn well good enough for me and the rest of you losers.

Raiders, Crusade, Doom

Yeah, Doom was a disappointment in comparison to the other two.

I agree, Spielberg's wife totally ruined Temple of Doom.

Raiders and Crusade are pretty much equal and Doom is just fun. Didn't we have a thread of this subject just 2 weeks ago, though...

I have to agree with the concensus of Raiders & Crusade, then Doom.

I've never really liked Doom.. creeped me out as a young'n.
Shortround and Indy have some good moments, but Speilbergs wife does annoy me.

And Crusade had Sean Connery and Salah... can't go wrong there. Well, almost ;)

Kinda interesting though that both crusade and raiders had plots that featured hunting for ancient relics from the bible yet doom was about a tribal cult of sorts.

It's just weird... Raiders and Crusade seem like they should be part of a series... but doom is just like... uh... what... this.. is strange.

That and it employs one of the worst chliches possible. The good guy turns bad.

Raiders, Crusade, Doom.

Does anybody know why they decided to make Temple of Doom a prequel? It's never made any sense to me, and it even causes continuity issues in Indy's character (i.e. In Raiders he goes on about how un-superstitious he is, but he saw some pretty whack paranormal **** in Doom).

It was supposed to be a prequel? Really?

Doom is the worst of them, but it has many great moments. I think if you intend to watch them all you ought to watch Doom first, so that it still gives you the most fun, but doesn't fade away so much in the shadow of the other two.

Yeah, either that or they screwed up the captioned year that each film took place at the begining.

Yes, Temple of Doom is the first, chronologically. Followed by Raiders and then Crusade.
