Uh.....

Wrong again buddy. Illustrator has the mesh tool yea... but that doesnt stop anyone from drawing stuff really well with flash. Just because you wont get something lifelike with flash doesnt mean its inferior.

There's a lot more than just the mesh tool. And you know it. It IS inferior, but that's not to say it's not powerful. It's like the 6600 is inferior to the 6800--it's still a good card, it's just not AS good. You CAN create good stuff with flash, but you can create better with Illustrator.

To end the argumet let me say this: Florida ciruculum states that students are to use Flash, not illustrator. We do not have illustrator on the computers. Licences are expensive.
The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.

*smack*
Dude, okay, let me put it this way--Illustrator is better at actual art, drawing. Flash is better at what it does. I've already SAID they're not meant for the same thing (please, read my posts if you don't believe me), and that Flash is inferior for drawing. Christ.

Okay :P But you can still use either one for web design.

I could use Frontpage for making webpages too. But Dreamweaver seems a more obvious chioce.

:p

Though the difference between Flash and Illustrator isn't so drastic.

For whatever reason it's extremely difficult for these people to understand that you don't have a choice in what you use, and simply telling the teacher "they're wrong" won't fix it. Entertaining.

Not really. I stated earlier that "if the school can't afford a license of other Adobe products" then I understood. Licenses ARE expensive. Though...I doubt that's Florida STATE Law...wait...no it's Florida we're talking about.

It just spawned a debate on Flash vs Illustrator.
