So, what does everyone that's trying it out think of the new characters and what not? It's open to everyone.

Personally, I think the new characters are really fun....or the assassin at least. I haven't tried the ritualist yet. I also heard that they are supposedly increasing the number of character slots on the accounts.

My account has 4 slots now, although it may just be temporary so you can try the two new classes. I'm kinda pissed you can't build a new roleplaying character with the new classes :( .

4 slots? I've.. always had 4 slots. :s

I deleted one of my PvP builds to try out an assassin. I then spent all my faction points making him freaking awesome.
Think while it's still legal.

Let me guess.... the assassin can stealth and backstab people.

What would an assassin be without two daggers. :p A crappy assassin, that's what! Also, I haven't tried the ritualist yet, but it seems like another monk :/

I meant that they are supposedly increasing the character slots with the purchase of Factions when it comes out.

Assassins are awesome to play. They have the ability to teleport via "shadow arts" which can put the jump on the enemy. The shadow arts also come in handy with other classes like giving monks a nice way of escaping and teleporting to an ally or a giving an elementalist the ability to teleport into a group, spam aoe spells, a teleport out.

Assassins are good for more than that though. They also use a combo system like the rogues from WoW BUT they have to chain certain skills together in order to use them. Lead attack -> Off-hand Attack -> Dual Attack is the standard linkage of the skills. If you chain certain skills together that have do certain effects and have certain conditions, you can really dish out some uber pain. For example, a lead attack does a cripple effect, the off hand attack does a bleed effect if target is crippled, and the dual attack does a critical hit if target is bleeding.

As for ritualists, they are a mix bag. Like shaman from WoW, they have to summon spirits (instead of totems) to do their dirty. Rits (as they are nicknamed) have the ability to act as a healer so they are a good alt to the monk BUT they rely heavily on their spirits to boost their healing, putting them at a disadvantage since players have to fight near the spirits to be effective.

Rogues are the Assassins of WoW.

Well, first of all, assassins don't have stealth. They "teleport" around using shadow arts instead so that's a big difference from the Rogues of WoW. Second, assassins only dual wield daggers. The combat however are similar because both make use of poison and blinding attacks.

Sounds exactly like the assassin from Diablo 2.

How are the animations? Do they actually attack with one hand, it deals that damage, then with the other hand and it deals that damage? It always bugged me that the animations arent linked to the damage in WoW, so it deals the damage for both weapons when you hit with one weapon sometimes.
DO NOT WANT.
