My old bike got stolen, the insurance company bought me this, after a week this happens.. I came to a real sharp corner, everything went well, and then the rear tire just lost it's grip to the road, i (thank god!) flew off the bike to a field next to the road after sliding under/on the bike for a while, the bike kept going for about 50 meters on it's side and then hit a van..

I'm okay, thanks to my driving gear.. It's a wonder i survived with only some bruises.. can't say the same for the bike tho :/

I took my first real motorcycle ride weekend before last. My bro let me borrow his 350 dual sport something or other (dirt bike that's legal on the street). We spent a couple of hours, boy does it feel dangerous... 'course, I'm not an expert by any means, this was the longest ride I've ever been on.

Remember, my father got hit by a city bus on his bike and barely lived through it. I guess the old thread has been pruned but here's the news announcement:
