Wow, *Jackass* Thompson has some nerve trying to imply that the kid's affiliation with the gaming website and the kid's hobby was the reason for the cause of his death. How can anyone draw such a conclusion without taking into account everything that went on in that kid's life? Sounds to me he's just using this story as a way to spin the story to support his crusade on video games. While I agree that playing too many video games can be bad for the mind (any hobby can be bad like that if done out of moderation), Jack Thompson is making himself and his cause look idiotic when he pulls crap like this. Sad really.

Hah, I love the way he describes gaming as masturbatory because it's "senseless self-stimulation". By that logic watching movies, reading fiction, playing and listening to music and safe sex are much the same.
So don't do those things folks, in fact just try not to have any fun to stay on the safe side. That way you can be sure to lead a happy productive life :rolleyes:

Its a good thing I never had any respect for Jack Thompson, now I can just go straight on to a deep loathing of him, like he deserves. Seriously, what kind of an ingnorant moron blames gaming communities and games for the suicide of someone. Not only that, but they actually GLOAT about how they have supposedly been right all along. The thing that annoys me is that people actually cared and tried and help the guy and then Jack Thompson has the cheek to actually blame those very same people.

Uh...what evidence is there that someone didn't masquerade as Jack Thompson and post that? It sounds rather repetitve of his "masturbatory activity" letter, and Thompson doesn't usually repeat himself like that.
