a whale in London...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4633878.stm

thought this might have been posted earlier but it hasn't...

briefly, a northern bottle nosed whale decided it would pay london a visit yesterday, totally out of the area these whales normally reside.

at 12 noon today it was decided to capture the whale and transport it on to a barge and then move it back out to sea, thats the stage we are at at the moment.

The only thing that needs to be done now is a few tests to see if the whale is in a fit state to be returned to the sea.
People of our generation should not be subjected to mornings.

I was listening to this all afternoon yesterday on the radio, can't believe how long it's been going on. They were reporting people jumping into the river and trying to push it back into the centre. Madness.

*crosses fingers for the whale*

What if it's a terrorist disguised as a whale?
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

its amazing, the whale got oxygen masks and blood tests and injections and stuff, he got MORE MEDICAL ATTENTION than the British NHS provides for 5 PEOPLE

That's strange timing. This past week, a mother Right whale and a calf were seen in the Gulf of Mexico, waaaay way way outside their usual areas.

Conspiracy?
