Obviously it isn't an all encompassing test, but it still makes you think, and that's the whole idea.

You're not mad because you didn't do well, are you?

actually I didn't take it

it doesn't take a genius to figure out that this is no where near an intelligence test

(plus you cant just take a test to find out whether you're a genius or not)

look at my earlier post on page 1 about this
2006-01-22, 5:45 PM #54
Nobody took this test as a serious measure of his or her intelligence. It's just something for amusement. Stop taking it so seriously.

Thee am speakerd the anglaisian good.

"Genius" as a noun means a person of the highest order of intellect.
ex. "I am a genius."; "You are not a genius."

"Intelligent" as an adjective is synonymous for "ingenious" as an adjective.
ex. "I am ingenious."; "Im very intellagant."

While the term "intelligent" runs the gamut from a somewhat devious animal to Einstein or Hawking, 'genius' would apply only to those who are truly adept.
ex. "He's smart, but he's no genius."

"Knowledge", on the other hand, refers to information a person already knows. If the antonym for "intelligent" is "stupid", the antonym for "knowledge" is "ignorance". Someone can be highly intelligent and still suffer from a tremendous dearth of useful knowledge.

While having a high degree of intelligence is to be a genius, being well-informed is called "wisdom". Wisdom is also used to describe worldliness.

An absent-minded professor would be an example of a person who is highly intelligent but not terribly wise. On the other hand, a priest would be a person who is wise - since he knows a great deal - but not terribly intelligent because he chose a career that prohibits him from getting laid.

Knowledge is no more or less important than intelligence. You can be extremely wise, but intelligence will allow you to apply your knowledge in creative ways. They're two sides of the same coin.

i hit the intelligent range...so i'll be happy with that, but it would have been nice to get genius, but I was like 4 pts off.

(what makes me mad is some later, when my friend told me them seemed so easily, so I shoulda made it higher, but meh, at least on my own I know where I stand)

I only got 5, then got kinda stuck and then I got bored and then I gave up.

Got about 6 or 7 right away, then I made it to 17 after keeping the window minimized for about an hour, opening it every few minutes to see if I can figure anything else out. The I had to restart and I lost my answers :) I probably could have made it past 19 though.

I got 18 in about 30 min...then quit.

Z@NARDI: 15 Men on a Dead man's Chest is a song typicly associated w/ pirates.

it goes something like:
"Fifteen men on a dead man's chest, Yo Ho Ho and a bottle of Rum."

and as far as I know thats about it, there is probably more to it.

being from the States and not a fan of sports I misses the Cricket one.

how are people doing on the second test?

(which makes me think - this could be a fun thread: someone posts their own clue and the first person to get it posts another. I'd do it, but I gotta run)

Its pretty funny how 90% of the people here say "15, 21" and higher. I find it hard to believe without screenshots. I strongly doubt the majority of people that visit this site would be classified as a genius.
2006-01-25, 10:50 AM #77
Ah, but I anticipated doubt, so voila! :p
I did get up to 23, but I found it sufficient to screenshot this...

Since when does a hoax Mensa test provide evidence that one is genius?

On the second test; #13, is it just me or have they got the spelling wrong somehow? I'm 90% sure I have the right idea but it never accepts it.

Part 2 doesnt seem to work correctly for me.

There's 2 i'm pretty sure i have right and they wont go green.

1.6 K in a M
1.6 kilometres in a mile
I'm sure that's right.

101 D
101 dalmations

That might not be right but it seems to fit. Wont go green tough.
