don't call someone arrogant when you preface some of your statements with "you obviously know nothing about ____" its quite immature and not a very good way to get a point across, just gets people angry

I say that because I, myself, work extensively in the field. I've done all of the above. I've seen, compared, and contrasted them. It's GENERAL knowledge in the field that today's CGI is far more proficiently used with physical representations. It's basic information. Because you're stating otherwise, you obviously DON'T know.

I personally love how Kirby's touting the beauty and realism of miniatures and yet criticising films that used them extensively as being too fakey and CGI laden.

-about 75+% of Mustafar was either minature, real set, or stock footage (the lava was from a volcanoe that erupted in Italy, I think).

THAT I did know. Mustifar looked wonderful, I agree. But the ratio of mineatures and puppets to REALLY BAD CGI in the first 3 movies is what I'm talking about. The Jedi Temple scene with yoda and mace in the second one? Oh my GOD, it looked like bloody Star Crusaders.

also, take a look at the scenes in the first two LotR films involving Orthanc and the mines below it... thats a fusion of minatures and CG and it looks unreal, CG alone makes it look like Doom 3.

The OT was a fun experience, there were very few fun parts in the NT. The only cool part was the battle at Coruscant.

That is all.

If I have to choose highlights, they were the battle in the end of TPM, the clone facility on Kamino, battle of Kamino (but especially the end of AOTC with the Imperial march and all), Battle of Coruscant, the Jedi slaughter and the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan battle. I would remember at least them if I hit my head with a spatula 402 times.

It wasn't so much that I liked Ep 1 it was mainly because I really liked Ep2 and 3 that i voted for NT.

To the people that voted OT: That's cool.

To the people that voted NT/PT: That's cool too.

To those that *****ed about people voting for the NT/PT: You people are dicks. Shut the **** up already.

JediKirby is right, look at LOTR, almost ALL models V.S. new SW movies, almost if not ALL CG... not even close as far a realism goes.

CG isn't there yet.

those are completly different movies though, for the look they wanted in SW, CG was the way to go I think.

You guys can argue with me all you want, I liked it

The original trillogy had some of the best minatures I've ever seen. The work done on Episode 3 shows that the other 2 were very much half-assed and were inteded to wow younger audiences with omg graphix.

I wouldnt say that the other two were half assed but I do agree that 3 was much better and shows that they put more into it

Definitely. I liked Episode 3, just not as much as any of the OT.
