I find The King to be kind of scary. Granted the first time I saw him was the Star Wars commerical where him and Vader do the staring contest, it's the fact his face never changes.

I reckon... Ronald McDonald is like Jesus Christ. There's this happy land you go to where there's lakes of banana milkshake and trees covered in fries... and then there's the Hamburglar. He's the Devil.

So the moral of the story is that if you eat an apple in McDonalds, you will be thrown out.

I actually ate one of those Kong Burger triple whoppers a few weeks ago. My friend could only eat half his. I had mine King Sized, and after eating my entire meal I turned to his half eaten burger and said "Gonna finish that?"

Though I gotta admit the food was cheaper than what I get at McDonald's, the 20 piece McNugget with large fries and large shake.

While the King is cooler than Ronald, he is kinda creepy. If a costumed guy showed up at me door and offered food, I know eating it would NOT be the first thing I do.

Well, I can't really tell. Both of the mascots are pretty d*** creepy. However, if we also include the rest of the mascot cast, Burger King wins by virtue of the Subservient Chicken, which beats Birdy, Grimace, and even the Hamburglar any day of the week. Might not beat the Hammurderer, but that character was sadly never actually designed, and existed only in an early 2002 issure of the Onion.

They did actually have that mascot some time ago; from the 70's to early 80's they had the "Burger King" who had a court that by today's standards that would be immensely corny. Wikipedia links to this page on the TV ads they used during then.

Apparently, not long after that, the drugs wore off, and the later 80's and 90's saw the effective elimination of any sort of mascot for BK. (they had some kids' mascots, but nothing else) Apparently, the 'King was brought back sometime late 2004, this time trading corny for f'ing creepy. (link 1, link 2) He didn't USED to have that solid plastic mask...

They are both dumb and therefore I cannot vote. had I to pick the lesser of two evils: Ronald, but the Taco Bell dog is so much better than either.

Oh damnit, I read this wrong! I thought it was asking which restaurant one liked more, and I voted Mickey D's because the Big Mac is simply awesome. I didn't notice the part about the mascot until after I voted. I hate Ronald McDonald so much.
