Well I stumbled upon this monster last night. Now I'm thinking of getting my hands on one of those, it sounds simply outstanding.

XT1900 XTX. *drools*

Quite unfair they didn't use 512mb 7800GTX's which are quite a bit faster than the 256mb counterparts...well as far as faster goes when you get that high up. The card looks beastly--a true competitor to the 7800GTX. Too bad it's about time for nVidia to come out with a new card. ATi's taking too long to get into this game.

Oh I agree, but one thing that draws me towards this card over the 7800GTX is the fact that it supports antialiasing in S.M 3.0 games better. I know there aren't any (or maybe 1 or 2???) SM3.0 games out, but I know to my tastes, antialiasing is a must, I'd die without it. :p

Still I've been thinking it over and until Oblivion, NWN 2 and Unreal 2k7 are out, I'm not gonna make a move just yet. I AM all hyped up about the xt1900, but I'm gonna sit back a bit, wait and see what nvidia pops out with. Besides, maybe I'll wait for the DirectX 10 cards to come out. *shrugs*

There are a LOT of SM3.0 games out--FarCry, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory are two of the main ones. But DX10 probably won't be out for quite a while...

Well from what I've read, DirectX 10 and DX10 cards are supposed to come out at the same time as Windows Vista.

I wasn't aware so many SM 3.0 games were out. SM 3.0 gives better performance right? (I'm not too enlightened in this field, and I haven't had time to read on it just yet. But actually I think I'm gonna be doing that tonight, getting more and more interested into the stuff)

So far as I can tell, DX3.0 just optimizes the already-existing DX2.0 features. I've heard a lot about new features, but I've never seen it in action.
