Your forums suck.

Starting a web community doesn't just happen, so having 3513461515 forums for the 5 people that might care is not only pointless, its stupid.

Develop some sort of content people will be interested in.
Then get forums.
And when you have assloads of members, then you can have assloads of pointless thread categories.
