More dots.

I see, in time, more dots in III moving towards IV.

Quite a bit more left than last time. A little more libertarian. To friends I've always come off as conservative because of morality issues. I consider right/wrong, in terms of ethics, to be absolute, but I certainly don't expect everyone to hold to my ideas of right/wrong, since they don't accept them as true.

I'm a teenager working at a Chuck E. Cheese's in southern Ontario. You do the math.

What I meant to say is..

Can someone explain these different viewpoints to me? I'm Canadian, and don't acknowledge authoritarian and libertarian so much as I do conservative and liberal.

Libertarian means you favor more personal/social freedoms. The libertarian viewpoint on things like abortion and gay marriage would be pro on all stances. Authoritarian means you want less of social freedoms. You favor a big brother style of government. Using same viewpoints, an individual of authoritarian stances would want abortion and gay marriage illegal.

American conservative is probably different from Canadian conservative and likewise for liberalism. I would be giving you the American version of con/lib.

You all are making me look like I'm a tyrant. :p

Are you implying that Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Mussolini and Tito were stupid? Perhaps they were pathologically insane but they were not stupid. They're a lot smarter than any of the self-titled 'libertarians' I've met.

They don't really apply because they are running the government. It is in a dictators best intrest not to give the people more liberties because it threatens his ability to remain a dictator.

So what? They still believe in authoritarianism. Unless you believe dictators and libertarians, alike, are only interested in what's best for them on a personal level. Which would tend to indicate that both groups of people are amazingly stupid, because instead of serving the needs of society they are only interested in satisfying their base urges.

Even though I'm a "libertarian" myself, I have to disagree here. Political philosophy is mostly subjective, and not a very good indicator of intelligence.

Whoa, lots of econolefties here. Haven't got the time right now to do the test (stat exam in a couple of hours :gbk: :gbk: :gbk: ) but generally:

-fiscally moderately conservative (there's definitely a discrepancy between my actual stance and idealistic views here)

-ethically pretty far left
