But I don't think it's really there anymore... and I just bought JK again from Amazon and am DYING to play with some people. You might want to download mIRC. It's a program that lets you organize games by IP in chat rooms (there are many channels where you can find JK Players: #jkgames, #nar, #massgames, #jk, etc.)

Also, there's the JK Dedicated Server (type "jk.servegame.com" as an IP to join), wich is a server for JK games running 24/7. Sometimes you can find people there.

Hm..I haven't played in ages - I could actually run with FSAA and anistropic and it'd be smooth! I'll have to try it. :p

I personally think JK MP is the worse MP game I've ever played. The weapon balance is horrible. Its great for SP but for MP, no way! Lightsaber fights are good and all (as long as people don't insist and spamming the double swing and running back and forth like a game of joust) but when it comes to guns, the person with the concussion rifle is usually the winner. MotS is even worse because the new weapons are horribly overpowered.

As for SP, you can only play it so much until it gets boring. Not enough high quality SP levels come out these days so you'll run out of SP gaming pretty fast. I could just make my own SP levels but what's the point of making something for yourself? It's like writing a story and then reading it, hoping to be surprised at what happens next despite that fact you're the one that wrote that damn thing.

Yeah, that's true. I do okay in saber matches, but in a situation where everyone is using guns I am slow to aim (it takes about 2 or 3 seconds to get a good shot) . I get my a** handed to me 9 times out of 10 by people who conc everything in sight with perfect aim. Every time I do get my hands on a conc or raildet, I usually manage to blow myself up fairly quickly.


BTW, I was on jk.servegame.com about 10 minutes ago and it was deserted, just like usual.

We ought to play an Oasis NF guns sometime, then - I might have a chance. Never was good with sabers..friend of mine did the running/double swing garbage and usually killed me right off.

You can dominate pretty hard if you use force speed and force jump with the concussion rifle. When I use to play on the zone ages ago, I would just run around and force jump over people's heads and slam them with a concussion shot. Its funny watching people die and have them go "wtf just happened?". In Canyon Oasis, its not hard to get to the concussion room from the pool. A simple force jump while using force speed (both force powers maxed obviously) is all that's needed.

Well...it's Jedi Knight...so like, if they have the Concussion Rifle just Force Pull it from their hands. If you're playing NF well then you just suck and may as well be playing Quake.
