Rotoscoping: red or blue beam?

I'm working on some rough rotoscoping, and can't decide what looks better. Do you like the red or blue colored beam better? Thank you.

Cause I don't want a software demo or download illegal copies. ;)

Blue. But color doesn't matter when the beam doesn't line up with the gun!

I'd vote, but that would disturb the balance.

I saw an article on rotoscoping like 4 years ago but never really figured out what it was or how to do it

What is it?

Editing a movie frame by frame, basically.

yeah, we had to do rotoscoping in compositing class, it's a pain in the butt, time consuming too, but the results are worth it.

I prefer blue but the problem is that neither look particularly convincing.

Incidentally, if you have Premiere and Photoshop (unlikely unless you're rich or have access to a student copy) you can rotoscope whole bunches of frames simulatenously by defining a path on each frame in a filmstrip and then applying an action to all frames at once.

...or you could just use after effects... cause... you know... that's what it's for.

Yes. I know.

But After Effects costs more and people are far more likely to have Photoshop.

I was... you know... throwing the idea out there... cause that's what people who are contributing do.

Your post would have been much more valuable if you just went with.
