I just saw "I Am Sam". God that was a sad film...

Great film, Sean Penn > Tom Hanks. I think he deserved an oscar for that.

I thought the film was terrible. It seemed more like an "after school movie" than a film worthy of a theatrical display, much less an oscar for Penn. It was melodramatic and boring.

Tom Hanks > Sean Penn.

Forrest Gump > I Am Sam.

I saw that movie back just after it came out on DVD. It was really good, and, as you said, quite sad too.

But I personally think Tom Hanks > Sean Penn, but it's pretty close for me.
