I took a gander at my spam folder just now and noticed an odd piece of spam. I don't mean to suggest that there is normal spam, but this spam is extraordinarily odd. It was sent by a John Williams (O_o) and it reads:



I'm wondering if this is in some kind of code. Maybe one of us can decipher it.

Its probably just a computer generated message to bypass spam detection.

I used to get those.

I figured they probably had some sort of html hidden it that sends a "received" message or something sinister like that back to the sender. I had no idea what was up with those emails.

Now that I think about it, the sender probably just looks at the addy's that weren't bounced back and marks them for future spams.

I doubt it's a code, multiple words start with double letters. (unless rrhjh == llama)

Actually I have none like that in my g-mail account.

These kind of messages are used to confuse learning spam-filters. Don't know, if it works, though.
