.. has there been a massive increase in the number of spam messages I get in my gmail box in the past couple months? I get almost 25 a day now @_@ Has this happened to anyone else? (And I'm almost sure I haven't put my email somewhere where a bot could pick it up)

My hotmail account gets no spam, and my gmail has this stupid iWin thing that bypasses the spam filter. But I don't really use my gmail..so it's all good :D

I never used to get spam at Gmail, but now I get about one a day.

Nothing big, but still I was hoping for a spam free account (I never post it on the web either)

Gmail still consistently catches 98% of the spam I recieve. That's all that matters to me.

hey me too... somehting is definatly suspicious here... I hope it has nothing to do when I erm... accidently posted all your e-mails on the boards...

The most recent email in my gmail inbox is from 2006/12/04, the exact day I stopped using it as my work email.


I get no spam. :D

I have only gotten a couple spam emails since i started using gmail, and only one in the last two months.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I used to get hardly any, but now I'm getting a ton. I'm emptying 10 at a time several times a day.

Try googling your e-mail address. Mine brought back a massassi thread where I posted my paypal account (in the format "name at site dot com"), which I just removed. Maybe a bot or whatever lifted my e-mail from there.

I get about 50 a day, not too many.

Unless you're talking about in your inbox, not the spam folder. I get maybe 1 a week in the inbox.

I don't think more than a couple e-mails have gotten past Gmail filter for me.
