How do I go about identifying a weapon?

What are some effective ways to do this?

Right now, I'm looking for the real-life equivalent of the Storm M32 from Nightfire, but in the future I may need these methods to identify a gun of some other kind.

I don't know if I implied this or not, but I know what it looks like. I need the real-life name of the gun (if it even is real -- I really have no idea).

For example, Agent Under Fire's PS-100 is really an FN P90.

Knife - Short blade on the end of a short handle
Sword - Long blade on the end of a short handle
Spear - Short blade on the end of a long handle
Hand Gun - Short handle from which lead bullets are propelled at extreme speeds
Rifle - Long handle from which lead bullets are propelled at extreme speeds
