Yikes. Going a little overboard I think. Especially since it's across the street from residential neighborhoods. Really, if they need that kind of security, they could have found a better place to build the lab, or at least they could relocate it.

Maybe it's overkill, but yhey do weapons research at this lab. Not something they'd want to get into the wrong hands.

Still, they should have placed a no-build zone around the lab. Or at least now move the research to a more remote location.

Stationary or attached (fixed) to something. As far as I know, gatling guns always need an external power source. Nowadays electricity, in the beginning a lever the operator kept rotating. And besides, it would take a governator to use one of those freely like you could use a light machine gun. It weights more than 20 kg at minimum plus ammunition (and not to mention the battery).
