Basically, a couple of fridays ago my friend broke up with his girlfriend so a week later she goes on like a casual date with some dude. The guy says he has to drop some papers off for his boss but took her to the woods and*i wont directly state it but if your smart you will guess the outcome* involuntarily.

So I proceeded to go to school the next day that i found out (today), never having seen the kid, ask him his name at 3rd period (name matched the story), and proceed to beat the **** out of him.

What would you have done? Im shaking with rage.

You do realize you just commited assault, right? You'll definately be in huge trouble if he didn't rape her. Even If you're right and he did rape her, you could still end up in jail, especially if he gets caught and figures he has nothing left to lose anyways and might as well take his attacker with him. And due to Murphy's Law, you will end up sharing his cell.

This has nothing to do with him or his friends lying or not, it has to do with their questionable(In my oppinion) decision making skills.

While I cannot say I wouldn't have done the same thing, contacting the authorities should be a priority. The ******* should pay for what he did in more than just a beating.

hah! are you kidding me? if someone did that to ANY one of my friends his *** would be grass. Well okay so I probably couldn't physically beat anyone up but seriously, I would have most definitely taken action like that in whatever way I could imagine. I know that logically that's not a smart move, but seriously I would be that furious as well - and the illogical part of my brain cheers about him getting the crap beaten out of him. The logical part of me says that that was a dumb move and you should let the authorities take care of it. Well most of me says that since the authorities can punish more severely than you can. ...I sound schitzophrenic

I don't think you're quite grasping the seriousness of the situation. If she really was raped, she's going to need help. Not to mention by not reporting the crime, she's leaving others open to similar abuse. And what the **** do you think the law does to rapists? Slap them on the wrist and send them on their way? He's likely looking at some pretty serious jail time, and when he get's out he'll be a registered sex offender. If he's convicted, he'll be paying for it for the rest of his life.

See, thing is, she's a big girl. She can decide for herself what she needs, and what she wants. If she doesn't want to go to the police, she doesn't have to. I don't think anyone is in any position to say "I'm going to the police for you".

That line of thinking is why so many rapists get away with it and it needs to be changed. If one of my friends was raped, I'd be pushing her to report it very quickly because there's a much better chance of the rapist being convincted. And, even if that doesn't happen, it gets her in line for the proper treatment to deal with what happened.

I will say this:

Do not let someone report this to the authorities for her. She must be the one who does it.

A lot of rape victims feel a loss of control over their lives after being raped, and doing something that they are (currently) unwilling to do will not help. The best thing you can do for her is do your damnedest to convince her to report him to the authorities.

I know I would have beat him close to death, but this kind of thing needs to be reported.

you should do everything you can (within reason) to convince her to report it, seriously, im not going to lie, if she reports it, she will probably have to go through a lot more hardship, but she needs to report it, thats the only way this guy is going to get what he deserves (in the legal sense anyways) if this s*** head, was willing to do this to one girl he is probably willing to do it again. he needs to be dealt with more than just with an a** whuppin. i seriously have no simpathy for rapists(sp?) and serious sexual offenders, while beating the crap out of him may not have been the best idae as far as the legal stuff goes, i really hope he has some sort of permenant internal damage or something from it. :mad:

but really she needs to report it, and she has to be the one to do it.
