.And specify a reason / rationale / experiences thus far with chosen language, would ya?

note: I tried to avoid germanic languages in the options. That is why german, dutch, etc. not on there. That's also why an "other" option is there.

Espanolish, because I would like to communicate with my neighbors, docotr, dentist, grovery store clerk, mechanic, policeman, fireman, landlord, gardener, techers, and pretty much everyone around here.

And Latin, also.

It would make me look shibby.

I wonder if anyone will choose Latin or Greek. I guess many people want to learn a language that they can have a conversation with in real life.

I know enough Spanish to do the important things like order food and beer, but I'd like to be fluent.

I'd also like to learn a scandinavian language, probably swedish as they all speak swedish in scandi land.

I know enough of the romance languages already, from learning english and latin. So... I've always wanted to go in a completely different direction from roman languages, and learn some crazy asian language. Japanese having the greatest ammount of teaching resources, would be easiest.

Spanish,

would come in handy in ye ole FL.

I had two semesters of Latin, but I didn't learn it that well...it is not easy to learn.

Take Spanish which has (I think) 6 or so diffrent forms of a noun.

compared to latin's 36+ or so. I forget the numbers but latin is a pain.
A very cool pain but still a pain.

It dosen't help that philology is not my thing.

This would be my second year of studying Japanese.

Part of my family speaks it and I plan on using it in a career.

If I could learn ANOTHER language, in addition to the ones I know, it would be Cambodian.

I would say French, but i've already got a fairly good grasp of it so it seems like a waste of knowledge just to up that to uber French instead of ok French. I'd probably go for Russian cos i have a couple of russian friends.
