Don't like peace and quiet? Then get a cockatiel!

Man, those birds don't know when to STFU. Last Sunday, my sister's co-worker gave my folks her two cockatiels. I told my mother that I REALLY didn't want to have birds but she was really excited to have some birds (she never had one before) and my father decided to take them because he used to have a bird when he was younger. It seems that they didn't realize that cockatiels are extremely NOISEY BIRDS. For almost the whole week now, those little pests keep squeeking at really LOUD pitches non-stop for a good 5 hours in the morning. The only way to shut them up is to go visit them. They a very social birds and they squeek a lot when they feel they lost their owners. Because of these annoying pests, I'm REALLY getting tempted to get myself a b-b gun and get some target practice with their heads.

I had one, stupid thing wouldn't EVER be quiet. Gave it to this girl who just loved it, and she in turn gave it to someone else, who gave it to someone else. I have no clue where it is now. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

My neighbours have one, and it squawks at me every time I walk past. It sounds awful and it pisses everyone off, especially me. I hate that bird.
That combined with the stupid dog across the road that barks at me every time I go out my front door, it's always a pleasure when I have to check my mail box. -.-

I love my parakeet. It may be because it is so damn quiet. It only makes noise when it wants food or something, or when it sees someone or something (esp. other birds) on the front lawn.
