All you online gamblers out there

So I have recently started playing online blackjack and I must say, I dont like it. I have been able to count cards for a while now and usually in real life, I can make money.

But these online casinos never tell you how many decks they are using or when they get shuffled (probably for a reason). I have been losing money and it seems to me they could write the blackjack program to give the dealer the optimum hand in almost every situation without anyone knowing, unless they decided to post their source code.

Anyone else think these things are a scam???

I'm willing to bet there's no regulations for it, considering it could be called a "videogame." It'd be interesting to see how it's done. I mean, if they regulated online gambling, they'd really have to regulate MMO money too, considering it's cashed in for money just like poker chips are. A form of gambling, and technically, used by minors.

This is why I play poker. At least then you're winning off other people so the house has no reason to cheat :p

Yeah but I suppose even that may be designed in a way to keep it exiting. Or make sure high rollers are giving enough to the house...

They way that works is the house will have a number of players playing at the table who are all in communication with each other so they know better what cards the other players have.

Why I play with play money :p

If you play online poker tournaments I see no reason for the house to cheat. They get a fixed amount usually around 10% of the buy-in per entrant, with the rest going into the payout structure. The house gains nothing by not letting the cards fall as they should.
