Nintendo DS Lite

One of my main complaints with the DS since day one was the design. It's so clunky and bulky that I really couldn't see why nintendo didn't catch it before. Nonetheless, it was rugged and Nintendo was rather adamant about no redesigns. However, it looks like they've had a change of heart.

Hot. Also, does the current DS model have a miniUSB port?

It's up for release on March 2 in Japan, with most import sites selling preorders for 170.

Thoughts?

Nintendo DS Mini is coming soon, I'd hold out.

Uh...says who/what sources? This seems to be the Nintendo DS Mini--the thing's about half the bulk of a DS.

So how much smaller is it? I've been thinking about buying one, but if this willeventually make its way to the States, I might as well wait.

Doh, just bought a regular DS with a gift certificate. If I'd known I would have still bought the old model but for cheaper once this was released. :P

Seems I'm always a little behind technology-wise, but way in the lead poverty-wise.

At least in my opinion, the problem with the design of the DS isn't the size but the shape. For me, it's a bit of a cramp to hold with its squared sides and such. I dunno. It's still fun though.
