Who here spent Valentines alone and how did you spend it?

Me: Grocery shopping and video games. The joy of being single is that all your valentines candy goes to yourself!!!

(Ive noticed a mention here or there that I dont post enough, heres to making that change)

Had 3 dates for today, only went on one. One canceled on me yesterday, one canceled on me today (She told me she might not be able to make it, doctor appointment then work). Third one I hung out with, went to a bar and watched some band her friend is in play. Technically though we didn't go out until after midnight, so I spent my day alone.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

I made sweet sweet love to myself.

So, business as usual. :em321:

I went to school. The stupid people who gave out valentine's grams gave to the (only) joke one from my friend to my mom (who is a teacher at my school) instead of to me. Sometimes I dislike the people at my school.

Other than that, pretty good!

Business as usual + death in the family

Put the finishing touches on my one of a kind hand-made valentine's day card (nibbling purple rotund bats are much cooler than fat naked cherubs that bifurcate your heart with arrows). Put a nice Emily Dickinson poem in it ("Wild nights, wild nights").

Headed to uni. As I board the Metro subway dad calls and informs of a death in the family. My grandmother, to be exact. (no, lets *please* not hijack and turn this into a condolences and : gbk : thread. Thanks but I don't need them now. I'd have made a thread for that if I'd have wanted to.)

Was a bit solemn, carried on. Didn't want to go home and be alone. Told a few friends. Went to my lectures. Ate lunch. Made final adjustments to card.

Went to girlfriend. Gave card. Exchanged goods. Let her know before she'd see right through me and ask what's wrong (she had been with us the last time we visited my grandmother). Talked about human nature/mortality/taking things for granted. Played duets on the piano. Played checkers. Tea and biscuits. Went home to be with grieving mom.

So... Not exactly a lovey-dovey day. Didn't turn out as ****ty as I expected though. Didn't go skating with girlfriend as planned (I slogged my skates with me to Uni). Could've been worse. Everybody took the news relatively well (considering the circumstances). *shrugs* We'll miss her.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

I spent it alone because my gf is in LA and I'm in the Bay Area at the moment. We're postponing celebrating for a bit.

I cleaned house, played Call of Duty, and made a phone call to a girl, but made myself sound like a complete idiot. Bleh.

I bought flowers for my best friend (who happens to be a girl) which really brightened her day.

Went out for coffee with her to just chill and talk about life...she's been going through some rough times lately.

Overall, not a classic Valentine's day, but it was good to just hang out with someone so close to me and see her so happy.

Went to classes; worked on homework and a project; had a Physics test; tried SourceForts, a mod for HL2, and didn't like it; ate, slept, went to Massassi ...

Yeah, not much more than a usual day.

Class, work, failing parking meteres everywhere, class (exam)...Then I came home, napped, watched Lost in Translation and debated eating my Cadbury creme eggs (I ate two of them.) Then I realized I actually had homework I should have done.

So I spent it being emo. :(

not valentinesy, but not alone, moslty hanging out with friends, and got to spend about an hour with the girl i'm thinking of asking out while she delivered her valentines around. and watched her be confused by the two valentines she got with no names on them. Yeah, i'm really shy, but she's quite funny to watch in situations like that :o

Well, I had a nice day yesterday. :D

My girlfriend called to say she wasn't going in to work that day. So we went out to dinner, talked (;)) for a while, and then I drove her back home. It was nice because we've really just started dating and I wasn't expecting to see her that night.

And should I feel bad that I didn't have a card? I mean, I did buy her dinner, but no card? :o

I wrote it on the fly, I had "Having fun on valentines as a couple minus one person" in mind. This meant valentines alone.
