Wisdom teeth

I just had my wisdom teeth taken out today. I drank my blood for the past three hours after the operation, but fortunately, the flow had stopped. So what were your experience with getting out your wisdom teeth? Oh and remember to eat pineapples a couple days before the operation to reduce swelling.

My teeth are perfect. I've never needed to go to a dentist, so of course, I've never had to have teeth pulled.

Mine must have gone a lot more smoothly than some people, because I never drank too much blood. Sure there was a slight ooze that lasted about 24 hours, but nothing to shake a broomstick at.

I had mine taken out Monday morning. The rest of that day was pretty bad (bleeding, pain, etc.) but got considerably better. Now I'm almost back to normal - I can eat almost anything and I really don't feel them that much anymore (although I still can't open my mouth super-wide yet, and I take care when chewing).

Got mine taken out last summer. As usual, the anesthesia completely messed with my head. My only memory after the procedure was lying at home with my mouth stuffed with gauze. I couldn't speak, so my mom got me a pencil and notebook to write stuff on. Apparently I wrote out several sentences mentioning how bad I hurt, and that I was hungry - the problem was, they were completely in aurabesh.

I had half mine taken out about 3 weeks ago. (the other half a month earlier than that)

The longest part is waiting for the holes to close up. I have that little syringe thing, but I hate using it b/c the feeling of a hard jet of liquid hitting the bottom of the empty sockets simply feels wonderful. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/rolleyes.gif]

i found that swishing really hard with pure mouthwash will do a good job.

You realize that slows the healing process right?

Swishing mouthwash...with an open wound...I'd rather be shot.

except my holes are not exactly open wounds anymore. They have healed over pretty much in the bottoms, but the holes themselves are still there.

It still doesn't feel good to be hit with the spray from the syringe, though. It feels really cold right after you do it.

I just had mine taken out yesterday too. I didnt even realize that they had put me to sleep, becuase the CD I was listening too looped all the way around to the exact spot it had been when I fell asleep. It was over before I knew it.

I was more affected by the drugs than by any pain... I felt pretty woozy all day yesterday whenever I tried to stand up. Today, I dont feel any pain at really, just some soreness, so I'm holding off on the codine unless I really need it.

Btw, Pink Floyd is the best band ever to listen too when you're knocked up on laughing gas. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]
