Why do I get this message when I enter cheats in the console? I entered "devmapall", but it still says that. Any ideas?

You're playing a crappy game.

Fix:
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2
or
Star Wars: Dark Forces

There are other fixes, but these are the immediate 2 I could conceive.

Sound about right to me. HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. Boy I'm glad I did this to fix my issues. :p

Oh lord, you're not getting anything out of this thread anyway. One person will post the reason it's not working for you, you'll say "hey thanks!" and make another thread on monday asking yet another question. You'd save space if you just bumped up your older post from last week, or maybe keep one single "imsoshort's JA questions thread." so that they have a little more use than 2 posts.

So there really isn't a hill to go down. Someone will answer your question and the thread will die.

Oh, and I liked the saber fighting... yes? That doesn't mean I didn't think the game sucked. Had [normal] people kept playing the game, I would be playing more often. Anyone who uses terms like that are, yes.

It's the people that piss and moan for HOURS about how you killed them while AFK or typing. Or the people who flip out and try to get the admin to ban you for making fun of them, fighting them, then winning.

Not to mention, I've been kicked/banned from SEVERAL servers for winning alone.

back on track...

I'm not sure, but I think there is a diffrent code you need to enter in order to enable developer mode, think it was posted as helpusobi 1 or something, otherwise it thinks your trying to cheat on a no cheat server or something.. apparently.

From what I've heard, "helpusobi 1" only works in JO. I would check [url]www.gamefaqs.com[/url] to see if they have the right cheat codes for JA.

Helpusobi 1 only works in JA SP. In MP, you want to type "Devmapall {name of the map}". There is no way to enter cheat mode on an existing level. You need to re-load the level in cheat mode.

-And you need to stop trying to cheat on other people's servers. Lamer. (That's the word you might be looking for, Kirby, "Lamer", a person who kills people who are typing, unarmed, or AFK, or cheats/hacks/makes an *** of themself; since JA isn't technically an FPS and allows for non-lethal combat resolution, though if saberists are really freaking out that much they could just enter into duels with other people to avoid being gunned down)

Yes, it's amazingly done. The atmosphere owns JA's. Unfortunately, it's on the edge of collapsing, at least as suggested by their news on their website. They have 3 new maps in the works.
