A new chapter in massassi's history?

I've been hearing talks between the admins about adding a "Save Games" Portion to massassi or giving it its own site. I think this is a great idea as it could bring renewed activity to massassi and expose some of the amazing work done by modders to the publics eye. I have several files i could upload to this site. What do you think?

Yes, I can really see the need for a poll on this subject. Wait, no.

And don't act like you have been hearing some secret inside info, it's in the freakin savegames thread. Just leave the discusion there!

Yeah, because there aren't dozens of saved game sites out there anyway.

I say no, because, as emon said, there are a billion saved games sites out there... not to mention, WHY is it helpful to have saved games online? I never got that at all.

Stop making threads imsoshort!

How many people bother to d/l saved games from the internet? What's teh fun in that?

there are some pretty obvious uses in having savegames online.

eg. a linear but buggy adventure game, your game bugs up, you download the savegame for the equivalent point in the game and you are able to continue playing.

Or, like me, you reformat your computer without having the sense to back up your save files. Now I have to play all the way through Thief 3 again to get to the end.

...uh, yeah, and it should be fairly ****ing obvious I'm not debating that point. I am, however, providing first hand evidence for the practicality of having save games on the internet.

I think the new chapter is the reign of annoyance caused by preteens.

I would set a new age to have started in late 2003 (perhaps September) and it's still on.

I don't care about a savegames section, simply because I don't suck at games.
