Is it a big deal that he's hosting them?

I've seen his show a couple of times and I just don' find it funny. Might be because I don't know much about US politics.

I usually switch back and forth between the awards and something else, maybe I'll pay a bit more attention, but I'll probally stop watching after brokeback mountain wins it's 28th award BECAUSE IT'S GAY SHEEP HERDERS LOLOLOLOL

I like big awards shows for some unknown reason. As a fan of The Daily Show and the Colbert Report, Jon Stewart's host position will be all the more reason to watch the Oscars.

It seems that if the main character of a movie is homosexual, disabled, or a minority figure, they have a higher chance of grabbing Hollywood awards.

I voted "no", because I'll be watching at least some of the Oscars regardless of Jon Stewart, although he is an added bonus.
