I think a robodog'd be cooler.

Well, if it was a pretty damn strong robot, like T-1000, yeah.

The T-1000 isn't so much a robot, as it is a living organism.

You'd probably want something like a T-800

Only before I was about to die (or maybe even after if feasible).

I will be the world's first real cyborg.

And I will have machine gun knee caps. For shooting other people in the knees.
2006-03-01, 12:21 PM #13
no, I'd use a body suit that enhances strength and speed ect. like in Halo or something like that. but I wouldn't go as far as to get my brain extracted into anything else.

who knows what kind of conciousness that would produce. not to mention what could happen from a glitch or a bug or even a virus of some sort.

True, but terminators are still pretty much robots so it would be cool to be a T-1000.

T-1000 != All Other Terminators

Especially if something happened to my real body, and relocating the brain to a robotic body would be a chance to keep existing.

Anyway I would prefer something that would look sufficiently like a normal human body, at least at a casual glance.

What about T-X?
Star Wars: TODOA | DXN - Deus Ex: Nihilum
2006-03-01, 12:39 PM #18
I don't consider the T-X to be anything more than a ****ing gimmick.

Seriously.

"Oh man guys. We need to make a female terminator. Girl power and all. The femmenazis are getting to us too. I KNOW IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! But we gotta do it."

"Man, a female terminator isn't nearly as cool as the T-1000 though."

"Okay, so lets give it Liquid metal skin."

"Yeah, and in one scene it can make its boobies bigger."

It was ****ing lame marketing, and nothing else.

Bah, gonna hold with my T-1000 answer. Android's still a robot.

Code:

elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){

If the robot had the capability for space flight, I'd say yes.

I want to reincarnate as the Iron Giant.
2006-03-01, 1:52 PM #23
i could finally put together my plans for world domination. that is if some other robot/human brain, hadn't already done it.

and i'd build a giant thing that looks like the epcot centre with a drill on the front. dig big hoes in the ground and try to rid myself of those damn turtles.

I'm 3 feet tall, crippled, zitty, but rather strong. I have every reason to go robo, unless it was a brittle weak robot.

Although I voted for the cat, no, I just don't like the idea.

Unless I could be a robot with some kind of death ray. As in a concentrated beam of death.
nope.

If you mean like via "Ghost in the shell" where your cyberbrain has the ability to "dive" (connect) to an outside network and access a whole mess of data as if it was just a mere thought? Oh yeah, you bet :)

Since my body will eventually decay into lameness in like 60 yrs., around that time I would get a transfer to a robot body.

I'm with Hesh on this one. I'm staying human, and enslaving your robot asses. We'll never agree to those treaties!

Also, most of you guys suck. What are you, from Pod 6?

Pod 6 was jerks.
