Anyone here have a Samsung 997df 19" monitor?

My current 19" is crapping out on me(screen randomly pops, brightness is sucking, etc.). Figure I'll get another one before this one craps out and use it as a second until it decides to go.

Probably going to get a Samsung 997df since I've had good experience with Samsung monitors in the past, and they're really nicely priced.

I was wondering if anyone had this model and if they could tell me how well it performs. Specifically, is the image good at 1600x1200? Does it have any issues with brightness?

One nice thing I noticed is its depth is 3" less than my current monitor.

Been doing some research on it and the product specs Samsung gives give 1600x1200 75 Hz as one of the recommended resolutions, so that's good.

I don't have a 19 inch, but I have a Samsung 17 inch, and I've loved everything about it. If the 19 is anything like it, I'd say go for it.

Viewsonic's prices are also greater...

Not to mention I've liked the Samsung monitors I've used more than the Viewsonic ones.

You'd never get me to buy an LCD monitor unless I was forced to stuff my monitor in a tiny space...
