Anyone want to swap COD 2 for BF2? I've never used the CD-key so it could be all set for MP. I tried COD 2's single player some and just didn't like it.

That's what I thought. I hate Call of Duty 2, but there are tonnes of people who love it, and tonnes of people who love to bash Battlefield 2. Still, offers open to anyone who wants it.

Is BF2 the one where you can "radio" in reinforcements, and they just plop down on the battlefield? Also the one where most of the environment is destructible?

BF2 is an outstanding game. The one thing I dislike about it is the air strike spamming from commanders. Other than that, its awesome.

Yeah, in fact the entire commander position altogether makes the game totally dumb. The artillery spam is the worst. It's always my quest to make sure the enemy's artillery is always out of commision.

That just means your team's Special Forces aren't getting the job done.

The artillery in BF 2 is hardly spamming. Now, airstirke and artillery in Enemy Territory? Different story.

See, now that's arty camping. People getting there, blowing it, then getting the hell out of the enemy base is how you should do it.

Exactly. I camp arty, the UAV trailer, and the satillite when I can. If the op team isn't doing anything to stop me, that's there bad. Now, I don't base camp, but if a guy is coming after me, I'll take him out.

Makes me wonder why the commander doesn't come hunting for you. I mean - it's not like he has anything to do with the UAV and artillery out of commision, does he?

The only thing I hate, but can see why its done, is when a commander saves artillery and waits for a point to go neuteral.. then he bombs it.


Sucks, but its a valid tactic.

I hate spamming artillery as a commander because it's too hard to time. Often by the time the damn artillery finally gets there my own team has moved in.

Too busy dropping supplies on the arty to get it repaired only to have the op team reload on C4 and blow it up again.

Quoted for truth. Oh, how I hated those damn artillery strikes in ET, especially if one was an Axis player on that rail map. The Allies could simply spam your spawn.

I've been playing the BF2 demo a bit online..the MEC guys sometimes have a tendency to arty-ize the carrier..spawn, die. Spawn, die. It sucks..and I'm too lazy to take a boat all the way to the island. :p

Wake Island does direly suck if you are stuck in the US with an aweful team. But can also be a really really fun map if teams are balance in skills.

Yeah. The US side is screwed if you get a lot of people spawning on the carrier waiting for the Cobra or a jet.
