Anyone know anything about this game or play it?

Their website offers little to no information.

Red Faction?

Its an MMO.

Their website just gives the tinniest amount of background story and doesn't tell anything about the gameplay.

I was hoping someone here had played it.

My brother's played it. I don't know anything abut the storyline, but it's just your regular 1st-person shooter, with guns and such. Nothing to get excited about.

Red Faction II > Red Faction. Fun MP game. Probably one of the first FPS that you could interact with the environment so much.

It doesn't stand for anything. A quick google search would have told you that the name of the game is "RF Online"

According to the (what I presume to be) Japanese website, it stands for Rising Force.

Doesn't really excite me too much, but I can't seem to get excited about MMORPGs after SWG.

So anyway. PVP is supposed to be good, but if you don't particularly like things like level-based systems, googly-eyed Japanese animation characters, and cumbersome overbuilt weapons with all kinds of science fiction fantasy crap all over them, your best bet would be to move on.

I wish I could just figure out about the play system.

I saw pilotable robots, which of course had me all giddy. I don't mind anime styled things either.

I'm also wondering abotu how Front Mission Online is going to turn or has turned out.

Yeah, the robots are definitely the high point. What I never figured out was wether you piloted the robots like you said, or wether you actually got to BE the robot. Because that would be freakin' awesome.

Does any one know how to translate the darn thing? Its all in chinese and the supposed english site just gives a bunch of squares.
Nothing to see here, move along.

As far as Gamespot can tell me, the RF stands for Rising Force.
And as far as I'm aware you pilot the robots. Which should please mecha fanatics.

I LIKE GIANT ROBOTS..

But I don't want to go get this game, and have it suck. :(

I still can't find any REAL info.

I was in the beta, and am currently playing it, so I guess I can answer any questions you guys have.

As far as how the gameplay is, its fairly grind centered toward the beginning, but that only lasts until you hit 25 or so and are able to PvP effectively. Its a race vs race vs race style system with a huge war every eight hours with the winning race gaining control over the very lucrative central mine.

The three races are:

Acretians: Robots basically. Their race special is using giant rocket launchers, and at later levels being able to transform into seige cannons

Belato: Basic humans, their special is being able to pilot mechs. The mechs can take a huge amount of punishment but are expensive to maintain

Cora: Fantasy style elves with high tech equipment. They specialize in magic, and their special ability is summoning.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I have a lvl 31 cora summoner and a lvl 25 acretian ranger right now.

If you want to know anything else, just ask.

What is the fighting system like?

Action RPGish or a clickfest?

It somewhat depends on your character. On my ranger it feels a lot like a click fest sometimes. My mage on the other hand plays like the combat system for Phantasy Star Online, more like an action rpg.
