today we had to go to a few places and decided on the way to stop at some of the salvation army and goodwill stores...

while on the way to a salvation army my mom pulled into the parking lot for the goodwill just down the road from our destination, on the way into the store she said "this is the wrong one"...

i'm glad we went to the wrong one

I'm assuming you bought the game. I'm doing an ebay "Super Pong" search, didn't return anything.
I had a blog. It sucked.

See the one on the far left? I have one of those helmets. I didn't get it from Goodwill but I got it from one of those sorts of stores. It was like 5 bucks 'cause they thought iit was a miner's helmet. It took a lot of work but I restored it.

the original home pong was released in 1975... in 1976 atari introduced super pong which was like the original home pong but with 3 extra variations of pong and on screen scoring

Holy crap, on screen scoring!

it was a big deal back then... the original home pong didn't even have that feature...

so it was easy to cheat at home pong

It was an heirloom, already left to him before he was born.

Silly.

Yes (seriously).

But it was still his.
2006-03-12, 2:09 PM #18
ok so then in a way i had mine before i was born too

2006-03-12, 2:44 PM #19
No you didn't.

Yours isn't an heirloom.
2006-03-12, 2:52 PM #20
and it wasn't his... it was the property of whoever had it before him...

for example... i have an antique fishing rod that was my grandfather's... i can't say it was mine before i was born because it wasn't

anyway this is way off topic... this thread is about goodwill finds... not about emon's messed up logic and rob not being on my side (wtf is up with that dude?)

If it was planned to be given to you before you were born, than it was yours.

This is a fun argument.

It's irrelevant, because I still had the original Pong way before DorkJedi82 had his "Super" Pong. :p

Also: Emon could have been alive in the seventies and owned a SuperPong then died, and was re-incarnated into the Emon of Today, still owning that SuperPong!

I have a Coleco Telstar Marksman which when I was a kid was the only videogame console I owned until the N64 came out (yeah, had to play NES, SNES, SEGA, and PS at my friend's houses).

It's basically a pong clone with a couple of extra games, and a light gun that was used for two shooting games. The light gun didn't work by the time I was born, though.

I had the original box until 5-10 years ago, it might still be buried in the basement somewhere.

Awesome system. Info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coleco_Telstar_Marksman
