photo is real, it just does not show a spider, and the subjects are pretty much right next to the camera.

Yeah, look how big the sleeve is compared to the spider. It's only a few inches long.

According to that, while it's not really considered completely a spider evidently it does belong to the arachnid class.

Spiders can have any number of pairs of legs. They're arachnids, not insects.
