Pfft, logic gates? How about a full-fledged Difference Engine?

Also, that aircraft carrier is awesome. Way better than that stupid Titanic some kid built a few years back.

Although I haven't seen the Brickshelf gallery, I saw it elsewhere, and not as many pics.
Still kicks ***, though

Hah. You could practically sleep on that thing, if it was strong enough. :)

It's called a hobby. ;)

I bet you could sleep on it, it's probably strong enough. There's an idea...a LEGO bed! Without using any adhesives!

Wouldn't be too bad. As long as you construct it properly, LEGO structures can hold a lot of wieght.

I can't really comment, between the ages of 8 to ~16 half of the loft space in my parents house was dedicated to a lego city, pirate "frontier", railway set and a space "frontier" built by myself and my brother.

I'm guessing here, but total area covered by lego would have been about 10x10 meters, with some space in the middle to move things.

those were the days...

I had the best home-mode TIE fighters and Interceptors. They were better than the now real thing, because they were built with a weakpoint in the middle, such that squeezing them would cause them to explode exactly like in the movies. And they were easy to put back together.

It's good to know the United States Navy uses former X-Wing pilots to man their F-16s.

I actually stress tested my custom models. Throw them into walls, drop them, hit them with projectiles, etc. I have the TIE and T/B sets, so I never had to make my own. But I have built every design on the back of the boxes of all of my sets using only those pics for reference ;)

We'll be in good hands if we ever uncover a WMD that could blow up countries with a laser.
