So not only are they scamming people by not giving them ipods; they're also turning around and selling the e-mail addresses? How have they lasted this long?

I'm guessing they DO give iPods, but they make enough to cover it and then some by ads and by selling the personal info of the N people you referred.

That's how it works. The advertise the all those offers and get money that way, and they sell your personal info. You have to figure that oninl 1 in 20 (or fewer, probably) people get through the process to actually get the free ipod, or whatever they are giving away.

nevertheless I never actually used the thing, just advocated (and mine was a different one anyways)

if the case is sucessful, who would they be paying damages to?
