I just had an interesting idea of a twist on Name That Game... let's see how it works.

Instead of posting pictures, we post pieces of dialog from the game. Enough of a sample so it's sure to be unique to that game. Then the rest of us try to guess which game it's from. Simple enough.

I'll start. :)

Quote:
YAAAARGH! I'm cursed!

I think I got this quote right.

[11:34:14PM] Matrinix: tell you what
[11:34:21PM] Matrinix: i'll purposely guess wrong

Even if you were right, you're not allowed to post a new quote from Half-Life 2 until your guess is verified correct. Or you're certain. Very very very certain.

WRONG

Oh, and if you KNOW the text is in a game that I said was wrong let me know, because that might mean I have to provide more text. :p

Alone in the Dark? Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time?

Zelda OoT it is!

(When someone wins be sure to post where the dialog is from exactly.)

The still-cursed "people" in the Skullutula House say that if you talk to them.

FLCL you can post now (and welcome to Massassi :)).

Here's my quote.

Quote:
Welcome to Tansarii Point Station, kid.

Sounds Star Wars-ish, but I don't recall the actual line from any game I've played.

(Another note: A person must guess the actual game (or at least the series of games) to guess it right. For example, if I quote Star Wars: Knights of the Republic 2, a guess for Star Wars is wrong, and SW:KotOR and SW:KotOR2 are both correct.)

You're right!

It's from Star Wars Galaxies during the tutorial. Han Solo says it to you as you arrive at the faction-neutral space station in the outer rift.

Bah I've played SWG but that was a while ago, with the tutorial where your transport ship is suspected of harboring rebels and is destroyed. You are let go once the Imperials discover this was not the case (very realistic of them.. hehehe). Then as you make your way to the hanger you're taught the controls. At the end you fight one of the other passengers who's gone nuts, and then you board a shuttle for Tatooine.

And I'm afraid I can't guess your quote Jon. It's a bit generic too. :/

Actually, I think RE was "Don't open that door!" or something along those lines.
