so I stubbed my toe yesterday whilst getting dressed. I went to the pub, where my friends promptly began ridiculing me for limping around like a big wuss. this morning, I had a look at it...

if I poke it/walk on it it hurts, but other than that it's ok. but it's all swollen, so I feel like I have an extra toe. the one beside it is not amused

Put some iodex and bandage (NOT A BAND-AID) on it, or put in cold water, or both, or see a doctor.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Your thread title is misleading. If I wanted to see something gross, you should have pointed us towards the fertilized egg thread.

That does look ouchy though.

Did you let loose a stream of profanity upon stubbing toe?
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

heheh, it was quite amusing actually. I was listening to the radio quite loud as I was getting ready and Boulevard of Broken Dreams came on. I then smacked my toe, started hopping up and down going "arrrrrrrrrg" and managed to slip (wearing socks on laminate floors - not smart), falling on my arse. I went "arg" for a bit longer, then got up. I realised that it was not going to stop hurting and needed to shout more, so instead of swearing, I just yelled at the top of my lungs along to the radio.

"I walk alone
I walk alone

I walk alone
I walk a..."

quite therapeutic, actually.

the irony that I was singing those lines when I couldn't actually walk has just hit me

I broke my big toe, and could still wiggle it.

It's probably broken, and just doesn't need to be set. Lucky you.

Setting a broken toe hurts worse than any ****ing thing in the entire world EVEr.

Looks like a load of fun there. Or maybe not. I would say put some ice or what not on that sucker and try and avoid putting too much pressure on it. Of course, I imagine you're already trying to avoid putting pressure on it. haha.

Ouch. Toe next to me big toe went like that last year when I broke it kicking my mate in the shin .

Go get it checked out. My toe ended up getting strapped to my big toe so it's all misshapen now. :(
nope.

I went ice skating a while back and the skates i was hiring were really crap. All my friends were taking the piss that I was complaining a lot and then I showed them my raw ankles after and they shut up :p

It doesn't really matter either way, seeing as all that doctors can do about a broken toe is tape it up and charge you money for their time.

Regardless.... oooowwww, Maeve, ooowwww.

Hey, next time I hear you complaining about not being able to be with us anymore due to financial issues and not getting internet, don't tell us you go to pubs and spend your money on alcohol.

No but seriously man, that toe doesn't look good. I feel for you. Toes hurt. My sister stubbed her toe once and it turned purple like that. It was broken. But don't wory. Just tape it up. She went to the doctor and thats all she was supposed to do. Get better soon so you can help move your furniture out! :)

It must have hurt like hell when it happened.

I hope it gets better soon, or you won't be able to stomp your subjects to the muds for a while. They could grow bolder in the mean time.

Although going to the doctorb is a good idea if you need a certificate to have a sick day from work.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's okay, it's getting better already. Less purple and more red, and it doesn't hurt unless I put alot of pressure on it.

I was walking around at work today though and managed to stub the same damn foot! Luckily I was wearing huge skater trainers, so I didn't even feel it.

Ouch.

I got my big toe stepped on by the biggest guy on my lacrosse team at practice one time. The heel cleat got me and it hurt like a mother. Hobbled around for a week.

One time my old computer decided to restart itself on me while I was trying to fix a Windows problem. So now I'm furious. As I walk upstairs I STUB MY TOE! Let me tell you... I have never felt rage like I did at that moment. I NEEDED to break something, so I grabbed my keychain with the little button light and threw it against the wall multiple times while yelling. Needless to say, it stopped working once it was in 45 pieces.
