Strange script

Hey, I was tidying up my desktop and a file came across my eye. I've had this file since the computer was bought on all the desktops but I came to realise I don't actually know what it does. It has just always sat there and nobodys moved it incase it crashed the computer or anything.

Anyone know (truthfully) what this script does? I'm guessing it's something to do with IE but I'm not liking all those "delete" entries.

Its part of a clean-up routine for a disk-cloning setup. This is the intesting line:

C:\sysprep\sysprep.exe -reseal -reboot -quiet


Sysprep is Microsoft's offical imaging prep tool, used to prepare a Windows install to be cloned. This script was likely used by the shop that built your computer, and they simply forgot to delete it.


It is safe to delete it. Running it would not be a good idea.

Ah thanks guys... makes sense since it was on the pc from the start and windows was installed and all when it was bought.
