Sorry for some bad quality perhaps (I just did some batch conversions with IrfanView without having the output be the best quality). I would post the full 5MP versions, but I'm sure you guys hate table breakage :)

The very top of The Duomo. 467 steps (which reminds me I need to get in shape)

Pretty sure you guys know what this is

Assissi. This is where St. Francis is buried (for you Catholics). Ironically, there is a weapons shop right outside the church where I bought my brother a "letter opener"

The Vatican museum. As you can see, the ceiling is quite extraordinary.

A shot of Rome at the top of the Spanish Steps. That's St. Peter's Basillica. It makes for a pretty good desktop wallpaper, so if any of you want the full version, feel free to email.

Inside St. Peter's Basillica. Even the full 5MP picture doesn't do it justice. It made me want to become Catholic, heh

My favorite part of the trip, Capri. Most beautiful place I have ever seen. These are shots mostly from either the top of the mountain my friends and I climbed, or the boat ride.

holy crap! As an Art History dweeb and a water lover, I am so incredibly jealous! Well just in general jealous, I've always wanted to go to Italy.

Italy is really a fun place with nice beaches and cool sites. Bad traffic, though.

Did you see those tourists FOOLS who put their arms up and try to appear that they are "lifting up" the Leaning Tower of Pisa in their photos?

I love Florence. To say I spent exactly 2.5 days there I would rank it as one of the places I would like to spend most of my time. :)

Great pix!

I you become catholic, don't hang out in the Basilica. I've seen a video where an earthquake caused the artsy ceiling to cave in and kill four people.

That was the one at Assissi (I think that's how you spell it). That's the one where St. Francis is buried. 5th picture / first post). They are doing construction on it right now. They had one earthquake which knocked the ceiling down, then when it was being repaired, another quake hit and killed the four guys.

Here's a picture inside that one

OMG NABOO!

lol

Love the pictures man. Looks like you had a great time.

I really need to go back to Italy, I especially loved Rome. The beach areas aren't my thing though. But the cities and the countryside are just great. Reminds me of the fact that it's good to be living in Europe, heh. Much to see pretty nearby. :)

So all of your pics of Italy are awesome, but I'm definately a fan of the Capri shots. I always seem to appreciate natural (or more natural than man-made) beauties more than architecture and most art-stuff. Those sort of shots really make me want to be on top of one of those mountain-thingies...

I don't have too many of the interior, because I was actually watching the Vespyr's come out and give the evening prayer. I was more kinda just walking around with my jaw-dropped.

On the topic of St. Peter's, we got to watch the Pope come out and induct all the new cardinals, and that was pretty sweet (I have a video if you want it). Again, sorry for photo quality. They are much better full resolution :)

This is one I just thought seemed cool. The top of the building

Nice shots, I love the older buildings in Italy, or the rest of Europe. Always interests me, but I've never researched any of it.

Man, Italy is freakin beautiful.

I love all of your pics, but I really adore the Capri shots, especially the second-to-last photo in your second post. That's EXACTLY the kind of place I would love to live.

Do you have any more of Capri? It's just too gorgeous. ;)

Well, if you can afford 7,000 dollars a square foot property, you can live there! Here's some more pics

Ha, that last pic of Capri... I have one almost exactly like it. Italy is one of my favorite places on earth, glad you got to see it.

BTW Capri is the place where Emperor Tiberius shacked up with his 8 year old boys. FUN!

Went for a trip around Italy last year and absolutely loved it. Visited Pisa, Florence, Venice and Milan.

Still haven't been to Rome, always wanted to go there.

Did you eat out a lot? The food is fantastic.

Absolutely gorgeous pictures. They make me want to return to Italy, heck, even live there if housing and land weren't so darn expensive. I've only been once before, and that was in a perambulator. :o
