Holy crap. I can't wait to see this. The trailers look kind of stupid, but before you judge let me remind you of three things.

1. Nathan Fillion
2. Horror/Comedy
3. 90%

I'm going to see it tonight with some friends, who else plans to see this?

Never heard of it, but I just went and checked out the trailers and things, and as you said it does indeed look stupid.

[Side point - Nathan Fillion? So what? Yes he was in Firefly/Serenity, however he was also in such masterpieces as 2 guys a girl and a pizza place.]

How about the fact that James Gunn directed it and he's brilliant.

He and his wife were behind a hilarious mockumentary called "lollilove." I suggest all of you see it.

On a side note. I really want to see this movie.

Slither looks kinda funny.Not Shaun of the Dead funny,but still,kinda funny.

The trailer looks a bit tongue in cheek. I bet it takes itself more seriously than does SoaP, but not much more. Therefore the absurdity is ok.
