Today something funny kinda happened... My mother was vacuuming the basement, and somehow she managed to fully vacuum my Sennheiser headphones. The entire cord was wrapped around the bar on the inside of the vaccum, but the headset had just fallen to the floor. Now I love my headphones very much - but my mother has a bit of a habit when it comes to "cleaning". This habit consists of cleaving a path of destruction. I was all uptight and ready to explode when I decided to plug them in. Sounded just like new... I laughed, and apologized.

I now realize these headphones have been taking a beating for almost 2 years, with better sound than anything I've ever had. I paid a hundred dollars for them, when I had probably already wasted that much on headphones that kept breaking. So post your quality purchases, and why you think they were a good buy.

I'll add to my list - Half Life, 10$ shortly after release. I still play this game all the time, probably the most entertaining 10$ I've ever spent in my life, seeing as I've played hundreds of hours of CS...

So yeah. Post your "Quality Purchases".

I keep buying a cheap pair of Plantronics headphones at Best Buy, with a headset (for CS [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]) for $30. So far I have gone through 3 of them, but I will most likely buy them again [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Caterpillar shoes for 100€. I'd say they're the best shoes I've had.

An Electrolux air filter. It's done its job, I haven't had a problem with it thus far, so I'd call it a quality purchase. I can't remember how much I paid for it, though.

JVC 32" widescreen TV for 1000€ (a hefty discount, by the way!). I forgot the model name, but it has proven itself worthy of the honorary "quality purchase" mention.

Nokia 6100 cell phone for 280€ (you can get it for like a hundred euros cheaper now). No problems with it, plus it's light and slim and has all the features I could ask for (surprisingly, I've found the e-wallet to be especially convenient).

And other stuff. My list of "purchases of shoddy quality" would be long, by the way.

If you can read this, you need better glasses.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Yeah, some of those Senn headphones are great.

I bought an AKG K240S for 90 bucks at Guitar Center three years ago. Best headphones I have ever used. They were a good buy.

The best money I've ever spent, though, was the $22 I paid for my Kershaw knife four years ago. The thing has been extremely useful, and has taken quite a beating without breaking like some other, inferior knives would have.
