Anyone see the commerical for it in tonight's episode? Even though it's been online on the Internet Movie Database for months now, they finally made it "offical" for July 27th, 2007.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

I have my doubts, but I hope it kicks ***. I have faith in Groening!!!

Overall, I thought it was a pretty strong episode. Grandpa was great (he's my second favorite character). Classic Gill moment too. "Ol Gill is back on track with his new red suit!!!"

I didn't find tonight's episode very funny. Maybe if I didn't have to watch King of the Hill before hand, it would be funnier. But things as they stand, the simpsons just isn't making me laugh anymore.

Groenig has lost it.

I concur. Five years ago or so, I would have seen the movie without question. Now?....meh. The Simpsons has just become so STUPID! For every funny thing I see, there are 10 moments that make me slap my head and cringe. The only thing I found funny about the latest episode was the hippie beating scene. I really don't know why I keep watching. I guess I'm hoping that they'll break from the new format and get funny again :( . Ah well, I guess it must be appealing to somebody if it's endured all this time.

Yeah. This movie marks the beginning of the end. They'll milk it another 2 seasons and die. They could have went out with a bang a couple years ago, but instead they've got cancer and opted for the "3 months of painful life" instead of dying peacefuly.

IMO, 2001 was the last season that was actually laugh out loud funny, 2002 was the last "good" season.
Since then, it has been slowing down a lot.

Well, I think there is a difference in what a good season is. There hasn't been a consistent season since 2001 or 2000.

However, the past 5 seasons, some moreso than others, have had absoutly outstanding episodes that always keep me watching. Just when I hit a streak of 2 bad episodes, one will come out that will keep me hooked. That mentally is what has kept Simpsons alive for the past 5 years or so.

BTW, does anyone have a link to the trailer? The only one I could find required you to have Quicktime 7, something I am not willing to pay for.
